Freestyle Creative is seeking a full-time web developer to create and maintain our clients’ WordPress websites. Applicants must have a solid portfolio and strong working knowledge of HTML, JavaScript, CSS, PHP and MySQL, as well as WordPress theme development, both front and back-end. Agency experience is a plus. The ideal candidate would have the ability to work with both open source and custom CMS software.

Key tasks and responsibilities would include:

• Transforming Photoshop/Illustrator mockups into complete WordPress themes
• Deploying those themes to an online version-control repository
• Adhering to best practices in code development
• Ensuring that client websites are responsive and SEO-optimized
• Creating accurate and realistic timelines
• Maintaining the functionality of WordPress sites (updates, plugins, code-changes, database configuration) as needed
• Updating content on WordPress sites as needed

Position requirements:

• 1 year of related experience (agency experience a plus)
• Ability to manage a project from start to finish and meet deadlines
• A strong working knowledge of HTML, JavaScript/jQuery, CSS, PHP, MySQL and WordPress theme development
• Version Control (Git preferred)
• Basic SEO proficiency
• Ability to be thorough, accurate and detail oriented
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills

Weekly Hours:

This is a full-time position, between the hours of 8 AM and 5 PM at our office in Moore.
