Freestyle Creative is seeking an experienced Senior Marketing Strategist to develop and execute strategic marketing plans, while managing and nurturing client relationships.

Our Senior Marketing Strategist position involves a variety of responsibilities, including managing client campaigns, building relationships with clients, managing and hiring interns/fellowships, and overseeing coordination of any marketing, creative or advertising needs. You’ll be responsible for setting specific objectives to develop a cohesive and successful  marketing strategy for our clients. We are seeking a positive, talented, adaptable, highly-motivated, and strategic teammate with a strong work ethic. A qualified candidate for this position must have prior and/or current experience at a marketing firm, running traditional and digital campaigns, and representation of client campaign case studies. Core Responsibilities:

  • Client Relationship Management
    • Lead regular communication and relationship-building with clients
    • Analyze sales and marketing metrics
    • Research market to identify new opportunities
    • Ensure brand consistency through all marketing channels
    • Seek feedback to ensure client satisfaction
    • Manage expectations on timelines, processes and results
  • Strategic Planning/Marketing Plan Writing
    • Deliver client briefs to the internal team with action items and due dates based on scope of work
    • Generate innovative ideas to promote client brand and products
    • Establish marketing goals and KPIs for client campaigns
    • Proactively pinpoint strategic insights needed for intelligent client discovery meetings 
  • Campaign Execution and Management
    • Liaise with internal teams and ensure brand consistency
    • Set up project management system with invoicing structure, schedules, and tasks
    • Proactive approach to collecting assets, credentials, etc. as it pertains to client campaign and/or project to more quickly and effectively deploy services
    • Understanding of scope from business development
    • Proper onboarding and ongoing communication with all clients
    • Develop, optimize, and make strategic recommendations for mixed media campaigns 
    • Writing content for clients' social media, blogs, websites and newsletters as needed
    • Develop new contracts for renewals and new business 
    • Working knowledge of traditional media buys on platforms: TV, Radio, Out of Home, Print, Cable
    • Working knowledge of digital media buys on platforms: Google/Bing, Social Media, Programmatic (CTV, Display, Video, Native, Geo-Fencing)
  • Budgeting and Project Management
    • Manage billable hours and utilization on projects/campaigns 
    • Manage client budgets on a project and/or annual basis
    • Assist in preparing client invoices, proposals, and marketing/media planning
    • Audit client billing and media billing sheets on a regular basis

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of professional industry-related experience in marketing, advertising or business related field 
  • Proven work experience as a Lead Strategist, Marketing Manager or Senior Account Executive
  • Client-facing experience leading meetings, fielding questions centered around multiple agency services, and pitching new concepts
  • Successful management of medium and large scale campaigns (i.e. budget, mixed media, various creative elements)
  • Campaign experience on local, regional and national level

  • Day-to-day: VP, Director of Account Services
  • Overall: President 

Hours and compensation:

  • Full-time salaried
  • 40 hours per week (8 a.m. - 5 p.m., Monday - Friday)
  • Salary commensurate with experience
